Cachapuz, industrial weighing leader in Portugal, belongs to a ranking made by hundreds of companies spread across multiple business sectors, which were noteworthy in exports in 2009 and 2010.
The increasing Cachapuz relations and transactions with countries like India, Angola and Egypt, among others, were instrumental in the company's inclusion in the list of representatives of the industry in this top.
The drafting of a rank of exporting firms, results from the strict application of a methodology for data analysis by Informa D&B and it is based on the firm's performance according to a set of quantitative economic and financial criteria.
All figures refer to 2009 and 2010 individual accounts, published in IES - Simplified Business Information and available at Informa D&B database. The exporting figures used refer to sales and services to the EU and extra-EU market.
The rank of Portuguese exporting firms comprises all the large, medium and small exporting Portuguese enterprises in the private sector in 2009 and 2010.
